Small Tire Shootout, Battle of the Brands, Roll Racing, Car Show Among Features~

Coming off an extremely successful inaugural event in 2021, Street Car Takeover, billed as “where street cars go to party,” returns to US 131 Motorsports Park the week of June 17-18 with its special brand of no prep, “run-what-ya’-brung-and-hope-ya’-brung-enuff” drag racing coupled with roll racing, a vendors’ midway and a Show ‘N Shine car and truck show.

The event kicks off Friday with drag race qualifying plus roll racing in four separate classes, roll racing being a modified form of the traditional sport in which cars are afforded a rolling start with finish line speeds being a critical determinant of individual success.

The action ramps up Saturday with car show judging from 12 noon until 4 p.m. followed by the Small Tire Shootout and the Battle of the Brands plus competition in three Street Racer classes as well as Stick Shift, Heavyweight, Extreme Street (10.0 Index), Daily Driver Extreme (11.0 Index), Daily Driver Mild (12.0 Index) and the new Women and Wheels class.
