Rotary Engine Record Holder ‘Jazmine’s Toy’ Mazda Pickup Among Entries~

Confirmation of the entry of Jazmine’s Toy, the world’s quickest and fastest rotary engine Mazda B2000 pickup, and the introduction of three new eighth-mile racing categories have combined to ramp up interest in Import vs. Domestic 7 scheduled June 9-11 at US 131 Motorsports Park.

Chicago’s Nick Soto drove Jazmine’s Toy through the timers in 7.030 seconds at 188 miles per hour during April testing at US 131, immediately establishing the dark blue Mazda as one of the favorites in the event’s featured Quick 32 Showdown which will send the very best imports against their domestic counterparts on the standard quarter mile course.

In addition to the feature, champions will be crowned for the first time in Pro-Xtreme, 632 Outlaw and Small Tire, all contested at the eighth-mile distance.

Pro Xtreme is characterized by promoters as a “run whatcha brung” class that accepts “no crybabies.”  NMCA rules will apply in the 632 Outlaw class with two nitrous bottles allowed.  Street Tire Shootout rules have been adopted for the Small Tire class for which times and speeds will not be posted.  Just first car to the finish.  Rounding out a three-day program, which begins with an Open Test-and-Tune session on Friday, will be racing in 10.0 and 11.5 Index classes and Open Bracket.

Friday open Test & Tune, gates open at 12 noon, on the track from 5pm-10pm, $35 to race, $20 to watch.  Saturday gates open at 9am, on the track at 11am, qualifying at 2pm, 5pm & 7pm.  Sunday gates open 9am, non-denominational chapel service 9am, time trials at 10am, pre-race ceremonies and eliminations at 12 noon.
