$50,000 To Win Friday and Sunday; $100,000 at Stake in Saturday’s Feature

Kirby McLennan of Temperance, Michigan, drew first blood Thursday in the inaugural FTI Performance Summer Shootout which continues Friday, Saturday and Sunday and US 131 Motorsports Park.

McLennan used a .005 package to best Lee Newmeyer of Shelby, Ohio, and claim Thursday’s $20,000 top prize.  Gene Lampshire of Lorain, Ohio, shared the Thursday winners’ circle after beating veteran Kenny Underwood of Delaware, Ohio, in the 32-car High Roller race.

Part of the SFG Promotions big money bracket series that moves next week to Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina, the Summer Shootout features $50,000 payouts to the Friday and Sunday winners and a whopping $100,000 to the winner on Saturday.

Racers still can enter the Saturday and Sunday races for a $500 buy-in.  Spectator admission is $12 per day or $40 for the event.
