Martin, Aurora Wanamaker and Baehr Get Victories in Jr. Dragster Bonanza~

For the second straight night, a foul start determined the big winner Saturday at  US 131’s annual Bottom Bulb Bash and Jr. Dragster Bonanza.  Maverick Green of Grand Haven was the beneficiary on Friday. On Saturday, it was Harrison’s Timothy Heinig who got the biggest prize of the weekend when Jason Proffitt of Brownstown fouled away his chances in the No Box final.

Winners in Jr. Dragster were Alyssa Martin of Beaverton in the Master class, Plainwell’s Aurora Wanamaker in Advanced and Brayden Baehr of Amherst, Ohio in Beginner.

Martin put together a .035 packaged to outpace Howell’s Braden Peters in the Masters’ final.  In Advanced, Autumn Gibson broke out by .004 of a second to hand Wanamaker the win and Baehr got a free ride when Jackson Gramlich fouled out.

MASTER JR. DRAGSTER – Alyssa Martin, Beaverton, .020, 7.985 on a 7.970, 81.30 mph, def. Braden Peters, Howell, .033, 7.940 on a 7.900, 84.22 mph.

ADVANCED JR. DRAGSTER – Aurora Wanamaker, Plainwell, .097, 8.933 on an 8.900, 74.31 mph, def. Autumn Gibson, Onsted, ,078, 8.896 breakout on an 8.900, 72.17 mph.  Semifinalist – Blaine Zaskowski, Grand Rapids.

BEGINNER JR. DRAGSTER – Brayden Baehr, Amherst, Ohio, .085, 12.013 on an 11.950, 55.20 mph, def. Jackson Gramlich, Maybee, foul.  Semifinalists – Conner Sebright, Holland and Ethan Russell, Adrian.
