In an effort to make our beginner junior dragster class more fair
and competitive, we will be dividing this class into 7-9 yr. olds
(Beginner) and 10-12 yr. olds (Intermediate). Entry fee for each
class will remain the same at $35; payouts for each class will be
as follows: $150 to the Winner, $75 to the Runner-up and $35 to the
Semifinalists. Year-end points fund will be as follow: $300 to 1st
place, $200 to 2nd place and $100 to 3rd place. There will be
buybacks offered for first round losers; the only change for the
classes will be that the buyback cars will not be run separately as
before. The buyback cars will be called to the lanes first with the
winners from round one falling in behind. This will allow for most
of the buyback cars to run each other in round two. Points that
have been earned to this time will follow each competitor to
his/her new class age group. We trust that this will be a welcomed
change to the jr dragster beginner competitors.

Last weekend's 3rd annual Import vs.
Domestic Showdown saw some sun, rain, sleet and even snow! It was
an unforgettable weekend with cooler temperatures and wind but as
always, this event brings great racing and hardy fans that bring
passion both on and off the track.
