Northern Nationals, Funny Car Nationals, Power Festival Among Anchor Events ~

Jason Peterson and his wife Stephanie will begin their third decade as operators of US 131 Motorsports Park with what may be the track’s most diverse schedule ever.

In addition to anchor events like the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival, the US 131 Northern Nationals, the 10th Annual Imports versus Domestics Shootout, the 11th  Annual Bottom Bulb Bash / Jr. Dragster Bonanza, the Woody’s Super Sled Shootout, a pair of EuroFest events and the 20th Annual Funny Car Nationals, the iconic quarter-mile track will ramp up its small tire and no prep programs in 2024 and welcome back the stars of the American Motorcycle Racing Association.

“We are so excited about the 2024 season,” said Stephanie Peterson.  “We always do our best to respond to our racers and fans and give them the best possible experience, but we’re especially proud of the new schedule that features Funny Cars, Top Fuel dragsters, Pro Mods, Motorcycles, jets, snowmobiles and just about anything else on two or four wheels.”

Although the track’s popular Test & Tune and Lane Automotive Bracket Series featuring Box and No Box ET, Street ET and three Jr. Dragster classes will kick things off in the spring, the season’s first specialty event will be the return of the F.A.S.T. (Factory Appearing Stock Tire) series May 17-18, 2024, followed a week later by the four-day Memorial Weekend Racer Appreciation Race.

Street Racing fans will be intrigued with Street Car Takeover (June 7-8).  The AMRA All Harley Motorcycles will move into the spotlight (June 14-16) followed by Imports versus Domestics (June 21-23), the NMRA/NMCA Power Festival (July 18-21).  New for 2024 will be the TB Promotions $250K Featuring three Big Dollar Races (July 24-28).  The Northern Nationals, which again will feature the Pro Modified stars of the PDRA, is scheduled the weekend of Aug. 2-3 followed by the prestigious Bottom Bulb Bash / Jr Dragster Bonanza (Aug. 8-11).

The Funny Car Nationals will return (Sept. 6-7) and the Super Sled Shootout will move to center stage (Sept. 13-15) Hot Rod Drag Week Stop #3 (Sept 18).

The second of the track’s EuroFest events, featuring German, British, French, Swedish and Italian-engineered vehicles in both show and go configurations, closes the season on (Oct. 6).
