Gomez, Fallon, Sammut Score Big Wins in Racing on Michigan’s Fastest Track

David Sherbondy of Laporte, IN, was a double-up winner, Belleville’s David Fallon Jr. claimed the Outlaw 632 title and Ryan Sammut drove Canada’s quickest Toyota Supra to victory in the featured Quick 32 class Saturday in the conclusion to Import vs. Domestic Showdown 8 at US 131 Motorsports Park.

This event for the first time saw an import take the win in the Pro 8 class.  Puerto Rican racer Harold Gomez from San Juan defeated Michigan’s Bill Riddle of Howell.

Other winners on “Michigan’s Fastest Track” included Pierson’s Brian Acton, West Olive’s Hunter Scholten, Christian Omar Santos of Goshen, IN, and Alayna Thompson of Grand Haven.

Sherbondy won in both 11.50 Index and Bracket to emerge as the event’s only double winner.
