Powershield Coatings, a division of Niles, Mich.-based Toefco Engineered Coating Systems, Inc., again will sponsor the Jr. Dragster portion of the Lane Automotive Bracket Series at US 131 Motorsports Park with $300 bonuses to the 2017 Jr. Dragster champions in all classes, Beginner, Advanced and Masters.

Overall, the Top 5 drivers in the Masters division and the Top 3 in Advanced and Begginer class will share in a year-end bonus fund underwritten by Powershield and Toefco president and CEO Artie “Buzz” McElwee III, a long-time racer as well as a manufacturer.  Last year’s $300 bonus recipients were Hunter Acha in Masters and Alex Kish in Advanced and Evan Muchler in Beginner.

For more than 60 years a family-owned and operated company, Toefco has engineered spray coating solutions for everything from tiny O rings to massive holding tanks.  In addition, Toefco spray-coated all the hardware in the Statue of Liberty during its restoration from 1984-1986 with its unique corrosion-resistant coatings.

“The McElwees are a great family of racers and we can’t thank them enough for their support of our Jr. Dragster program,” said Stephanie Peterson, Marketing Director for US 131.
