This Thursday-Sunday September 13-16, racers from Six States and Canada Compete in IHRA Summit ET Finals at US 131~Newly-crowned track champions Rick Morley of Allendale, Mark Hammond of Romulus and Kyle Wanamaker of Coldwater lead the host team into this week’s IHRA Thunder Division Summit ET Finals at US 131 Motorsports Park.

Top ET, Modified, Street at Jr. Dragster racers from tracks in six states and Canada’s Ontario province will compete for prize money and prestige during three days of racing on the eighth mile course at US 131.

In addition to US 131, 25-member teams are expected from Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton, Ulby Dragway, Muncie, Ind., Dragway, Grand Bend, Ont., Motorplex, Bunker Hill Dragstrip in Kokomo, Ind., Cordova, Ill., International Raceway, Osceola, Ind. Dragway, Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, Wis., US 41 Motorsports Park in Morocco, Ind., Saint Thomas, Ont., Raceway Park, Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, Wis., Eddyville Raceway Park in Oskaloosa, Iowa and Central Illinois Dragway in Havana, Ill.

Muchler of Grass Lake and Aliyah Pitsch of Dorr. Evan’s sister Ally and Braden’s younger brother Nick also are playoff eligible.

Tickets each day for adults are $20, children ages 6-12 are only $10 to enter.  Thursday Test and Tune has been cancelled.  Racing on Friday starts at 9:30 am, continuing all day, Team Captain’s race begins at 9:30 pm.  Saturday Special Judging begins at 9 am, followed by first round of the Gambler’s Race and then going into the Main Event all day. Sunday the Gambler’s Race eliminations continue at 9 am.  Gates open each day at 8 am.

Morley, who won the US 131 Top ET title, will be joined by two-time former track champ Scott Taylor of Portage and Plainwell’s Steve Mesik, a double up threat who will compete in both Top ET and Street. Modified champ Hammond will get team support from Parma’s Chad Six and Freeland’s Stan Jones Jr.
