AMERICAN MADE MUSCLE ~ SUPER CHEVY SHOW AND FUN FORD

 

SUPER CHEVY SHOW ~ July 10-12

Friday gates open at 9am for set up, The Super Chevy Show "Car Show & Shine Festival" kicks off from noon - 5 p.m. US 131 MSP will host an open Test and Tune/Monster Midnight Madness testing on track from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Gate admission is: $10, car and driver $25, and after 8pm the price drops to $5 and $15 for car and driver.

 

To bring further excitement to this celebration there will be a "Battle of the Brands" on Sunday, where the winner of the Ford bracket class and one winner of the GM classes, (to be determined in a race between the two GM class winners), will face off against one another. The "Battle of the Brands" winner will take home a unique trophy and an additional $300. The DOT Street winner will take home an extra $100.

The Super Chevy Show racing action kicks off on Saturday, July 11. The GM car show, as well as swap meet and car corral area, will be bustling with deals and unique parts. Saturday at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. fans will see Nostalgia Pro Stocks and the 300 miles-per-hour "Queen of Diamonds" jet-powered Dragster blazing down "The Fastest Track" in Michigan.

CELEBRATING AMERICAN MADE MUSCLE WITH FUN FORD ~ SUNDAY, JULY 12  Detroit brands GM and Ford will be competing in their respective racing classes. GM Bracket 1 (Top ET), GM Bracket 2 (Modified ET) both paying $2500 to win with a $75 entry fee, GM DOT Street paying $750 to win with a $50 entry fee as well as two separate Jr. Dragster Classes paying $200 to win with a $35 entry fee. Ford racers will compete in a one class combo ET, (Top ET and Modified) paying $1200 to win with a $50 entry fee and a Ford Street class paying $200 to win with a $25 entry fee.

There will be two separate judged cars show going on, one for GM and one for Ford. There will be a large combined area for swap meet and car corral participants.

Gate admission is $15 for adults on Saturday and Sunday, children ages 6 - 12 are $5 each day, under six are free. Gates open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for spectators, 8 a.m. for vendors and participants only. Car/Truck Show judging starts at noon with awards at 4 p.m. each day. Swap meet and car corral fees are $45 for a 20x20 space and judged car show fees are $45 for two-day GM participants or $35 for one-day GM and Sunday Ford participants.

 

 

FUN FORD ~ July 12, Sunday

Fantastic all Ford show featuring car show, swap meet and drag racing.

 

Gates open at 8am, with time trials beginning at 10am.

 

Adult tickets are just $15, children 12 and under are free.


8TH ANNUAL Summer BUG RUN Open to ALL German makes ~ July 19, Sunday

Exclusive VW event featuring beautiful car show, swap meet, vendors and VW drag racing. Gates open at 7am to vendors only, all others gates open at 9am, time trials begin at 10am, race starts at 12 noon, 2:30 car show awards announced, car show winners parade at 3 pm. Adult tickets are $12, children ages 6-12 are only $5. No extra fees for vendors or to participate in the swap meet and car show.

AMRA ALL HARLEY DRAGS ~ July 25-26, Saturday and Sunday

All Harley drag racing at its finest featuring Nitro burning Pro Fuel Harleys!  Event also includes a ride in bike show, swap meet and biker games.  

 

2ND ANNUAL BOTTOM BULB BASH / JR DRAGSTER BONANZA ~ August 1-2, Saturday & Sunday

Bottom bulb racing is the core racing class across the country.  There are no electronics allowed (other than a trans-brake).  Racers that are included in this are Modifed and Street racers from IHRA and Pro and Sportsman from NHRA, no box cars allowed.  Bottom Bulb refers to when the drivers leave the starting line.  This is a two-day event paying a guaranteed winning purse of $3000 for Saturday and $2000 for Sunday.  There is a second chance gamblers race each day as well.

 

In addition Jr Dragsters will be competing in two seperate age brackets as well as a heads-up index class each day.

 

Gates open at 9am daily with time trials begining at 10am.  $150 two-day race entry fee or $125 Saturday and $100 for Sunday for Bottom Bulb racers, $60 two day entry or $45 for either Saturday or Sunday for Jr Dragster classes.  Crew and GA are $25 for two-day pass or $15 per day.

 

INAUGURAL MIDWEST JR DRAGSTER SUPER SERIES ~ August 28-30, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

US 131 MSP will host one of seven events for this prestigious Jr Dragster Series.  This event is followed and raced by now Top Fuel pilot Antron Brown.  This event has a class for all Jr Dragsters ranging from 6yr old beginners to 17 yr old master Jr Dragster racers.

 

Friday is a time for racers to get familar with the new venue on the circuit with a scheduled Test and Tune for Friday evening.

 

Saturday will feature an Outlaw 330 class, heads up index racing 13.90, 11.90, 8.90 and 7.90.  There will also be a Sportsman bracket race.

 

Sunday's racing will be pairing racers up by age group to compete against each other, 6-7 yrs, 8-9 yrs, 10-12yrs and 13 and up.  Also included will be a Super Quick all run 330 bracket race, in conjuction with this race will be a Quick 16.

 

The Jr Dragster racers are the future of the sport of Drag Racing, be sure to come out and see where the future starts.  GA pricing is $35 for the weekend or $15 daily, racing entry is $75 for Outlaw 330.  $50 for Saturday Sportsman class and $35 for all other classes.  Racers may compete in more than one class per day.

 

IHRA NORTHERN NITRO JAM ~ August 7-8, Friday & Saturday

This year's IHRA Northern Nitro Jam will feature an eight car qualified field of Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars that are vying for a world championship.  Additional Nitro fumes will be coming from an eight bike qualified field of Top Fuel Harleys.  The return to the IHRA's foundation returns as Pro Modifieds and Mountain Motor Pro Stock will be competing.  This event will again be showcasing the four lady racers from the Larson Racing Team.  All of these ladies will be pilioting Jet Powered Dragsters.  In addition the kids will not want to miss the twin engine jet propelled Fire Truck.  Returning the the Northern Nitro Jam with the Amsoil Pro Am Series are seven different Sportsman classes all competing to be the IHRA World Champion in their respective catergory.

 

Tickets purchased in advance are $20 or $25 at the gate and Saturday advanced price is $25 or $30 at the gate.  Children 6-12 are just $10 each day, 5 and under are free.

11th ANNUAL FUNNY CAR NATIONALS PRESENTED BY DISCOUNT TIRE ~ September 11-12, Friday & Saturday

This popular event features a "Blast from the Past" with an eight-car qualified field of Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car, four Nostalgia Nitro Fuel Altereds, AA Gassers, Great Lakes Gassers. This event will be capped off with the legendary Jet Truck of Bob Motz.

Friday adult tickets purchased in advance are $10 or $15 at the gate, children ages 6-12 are only $5 and children under six are free.

Saturday adult tickets purchased in advance are $19 or $25 at the gate, children ages 6-12 are $5 in advance or only $7 at the gate and children under six are free.

AMSNOW & SUPER SLED SHOOTOUT PRESENTED BY AEROQUIP AND BIKE MANIA ~ September 26-27, Saturday & Sunday

On track activities will feature the Aeroquip Outlaw Sled Series featuring seven-second snowmobiles, Pro Stock Snowmobiles, as well as several sportsman classes for snowmobiles and motorcycles on Saturday and Sunday.  Friday will consist of an open test and tune.

Adults are $12 each day, children ages 6-12 are $5 each day, children five and under are FREE.
