It is that time of year again.   In preparation for the 2012 Lane Automotive Bracket Racing season competitors are already signing up to secure this season's reserved pit spots, signing up for the year-long points program and scheduling a time slot for their Advanced Technical Inspections, ATI.   These will again be performed during each test and tune event in April.

2011 pit spot holders have until March 30th to renew their spots for the 2012 race season, after that date the spots will be opened up to the racers.

The 2012 Lane Automotive Bracket Racing season will again feature Michigan's largest guaranteed weekly purse paying $1200.00 to win in Top ET and Modified.   In addition there are three scheduled $2000.00 to win races in both classes Top ET and Modified on May 26, August 25 and September 29.

Lane Automotive bracket point's racers will also be vying for a spot on team US 131 that will compete in September at the IHRA Summit Team Finals for the Thunder Division 5 team title.   Included within this event, if the point's entrant has entered into the IHRA Summit Super Series the point's winner in Box, No Box and Jr. Dragster will be competing for a slot to compete for the World Championship. This will be competed at the IHRA World Finals in Memphis, TN.

Returning for its 5th consecutive season will be the Engine Pro/Dart Engine giveaway where the top 10 in points in Top ET and Modified after the conclusion of the August 25th scheduled race, (provided correct required decals have been run for the season), will be in the pool of drivers eligible for the 2012 brand new racing engine that will again be assembled by Performance Engineering.  The winner will be drawn during the Flagstar Bank Funny Car Nationals on Saturday, September 8th.

Also returning for its third consecutive season will be the Contingency Connection, featuring over $50,000 worth of prizes being awarded over the entire 2012 racing season.

You can call the track office at 269-672-7800 Monday thru Friday from 9am-4pm to get signed up for any of the above listed items or if you have any questions.   Think Warm!
