For this weekend's event, the Summer Drags may prove to be a critical opportunity for Berner to make a move in the Championship's points chase as well. Berner is currently third in ADRL points and just 99 points out of first place. With the Summer Drags marking the halfway point of the season, every round will be an important factor in determining the next ADRL Extreme Pro Stock Champion.

"This Summit Racing Equipment Team is extremely focused heading into the Summer Drags," offered Berner. "We always want to perform well at our home stop and now would also be a great time to make a move in points. Hopefully everything will align for us this weekend and we can capitalize on our testing efforts to get our first win of the season."

The Summer Drags kicks off on Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 with open testing for all ADRL teams from 10am-6pm. Berner plans to take advantage of the on-site testing in hopes of getting a winning setup for the weekend. Testing is open to the general public both days for just $10/day with no parking charge. Gates will open at 10am.

Then on Saturday the baddest eighth mile doorslammers in the country will be ready to rock for ADRL qualifying. Three rounds of sportsman qualifying begins at 10am with professional qualifying to follow. Sunday it all comes down to the wire in race day eliminations. Pre-race ceremonies begin at 10:30am and the first car will fire up at 11am. Gates open both Saturday and Sunday at 9am. Spectator entry is just $20 per car load each day.

"We're truly looking forward to this event," added Berner. "The Petersons always do an amazing job with this track giving us a great racing surface capable of producing awesome side-by-side racing. With things heating up in the points, our focus and commitment is relentless as we pursue a Championship and gear up for the shootouts. The event this weekend promises to be an phenomenal event for ADRL and we're going to be giving it all we've got on the eighth mile to put on a show for these Summit fans and hopefully take home a win!"
