Thankfully the weather forecasts were incorrect yesterday and today. Last night, Friday's Test & Tune went without a hitch and today's Lane Automotive Bracket Series with Aeroquip Performance Outlaw Sled Series was greeted with partly sunny skies and beautiful temperatures.  

This Saturday, June 1, marks the fifth bracket race of the year in the Lane Automotive Bracket Series presentedy by Mr. Gasket Co. and Aeroquip Performance.  This Series features five classes, Top ET, Modified, Street, Beginner and Advnced Jr. Dragster.  An added feature this week is the Aeroquip Outlaw Sled Series, which will also be contested this Saturday.  This is a great chance to see snowmobiles on asphalt racing competitively.

This Friday, May 31, US 131 Motorsports Park will conduct the Monster Midnight Madness after open Test & Tune.  This popular street scene competition offers late night racing and discounted gate fees. Including How to Race brochures, US 131 Motorsports Park staff will be on hand to explain terms, procedures and rules. All clubs are welcome.

Discounted admission rates start at 8pm until 12 midnight. Entry fee only $5 per person and only $15 to race.

Customers may come at 5pm when the gates open and race starting at 6pm for $25 and $10 to watch.  Children ages 6-12 are $5 and children under 6 are FREE. 

With this weekend's celebration of Memorial Day, US 131 Motorsports Park has planned a Lane Automotive Bracket Bonanza. This weekend will kick off with a Friday night Test& Tune from 6pm-11pm open to everyone, Saturday will consist of two separate bracket races. The Midwest Top Sportsman will also be competing in a separate race on Saturday.

Rain put a damper on this Friday's festivities, no pun intended, at US 131 Motorsports Park as many were set to see Top Fuel Dragsters during the 30th Annual Thunder Nationals.  All Friday tickets will be honored tomorrow on Saturday, May 11. 

Gates open at 9am, time trials for bracket cars are 10am, PMRA Pro Mods, Quick 32 and the Pro Bike Sled Series will qualify at 11:30am and 2pm.  The ever popular nitro-methane burning Top Fuel Dragsters will run at 4pm, 7pm and 9pm followed by the "Queen of Diamonds" Jet Dragster. 

This week's Thunder Nationals on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11 could be the best one yet.  That says a lot considering this is the 30^th year for this renowned event.  Top Fuel Dragsters racing side-by-side on the ¼ mile will once again make their only appearance in Michigan at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin.

US 131 Motorsports Park hosts its 6^th Annual Spring Bug Run presented by B&L Sand Toys this Sunday, May 5, 2013.  This exclusive VW event features a beautiful car show, swap meet, car corral, vendors and drag racing.  There are two drag racing classes, Pro/ Super Pro/Modified and Street. The North Coast VW Drag Racing Association will also be competing.  Racers may also enter into a Gambler's Race or just have fun driving down "The Fastest Track in Michigan" with fun runs for $10.

The Thunder Nationals on May 10-11 will be the first stop for PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS drag race series.  The 2013 season gets underway with the Thunder Nationals at US 131 Motorsports Park for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series.

This will be the second trip for the three drag race series at the popular Michigan quarter-mile facility. Last year Jack Grainy of North Tonawanda, NY won the PMRA race over Eric Latino of Whitby, Ontario. The Martin race will be the start of the PMRA's ninth season of Pro Modified action.

Due to the large amount of rainfall the track has received and that is still expected to come, Test & Tune will be moved from Saturday to Sunday, April 21.  The gates will open at 9am for ATI appointments and track time will be from 12 noon- 6pm.  Gate admission is only $10 and $25 to make as many runs as you would like during track time.

Perseverance: continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties or opposition : steadfastness. That was the track staff and racers tjhis past Sunday, April 14, at the track! Thank you to all who came out to what turned out to be a beautiful day at the track!

With the cold temperatures and precipitation forecasted for this Saturday, April 13, US 131 Motorsports Park management has decided to move Saturday's Test & Tune to Sunday, April 14.  "The temperature is expected to still be at the freezing point at 12 noon on Saturday,"  stated Jason Peterson General Manager of US 131 MSP.  Peterson continued, "With the forecasted temperatures being 12-20 degrees warmer on Sunday this would make conditions more enjoyable."

May is going to be busting with blooms, parachute blooms, during the Thunder Nationals May 10-11!  We are looking forward to being on the track again this Saturday from 12 noon-6 pm. Only $10 to watch and $25 to make as many runs as you can.

US 131 Motorsports Park officially opened its track today, Saturday, April 6, a day that track staff, racers and fans have been counting down for months.  The skies were overcast and there was a terrific tail wind that made for great racing times on the track. 

The track will be open each Saturday in April from 12 noon- 6 pm.  Adult admission is only $10, children ages 6-12 $5 and children under six are free.  Racers can make as many runs as they like for only $25 from 12 noon - 6pm. 

US 131 Motorsports Park will open this Saturday, April 6 with its first Test & Tune of the season.  Many have been counting down the days until the track opens and this Saturday's weather is forecasted to have a high temperature near 60.  Gate admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, children under six are free.  Anyone can make runs down The Fastest Track in Michigan for only $25 from 12 noon-6 pm. 

Fellow racer Greg Russell of Ravenna, MI lost his short battle with lung cancer.   Russell and his wife, Maureen, were loyal racers who always shared a smile with others.  They were both well liked and Greg be missed both on the track and off. 

Open racing starts next Saturday, April 7, with Test & Tune and at the time of this writing the weather is predicted to be beautiful!  With temperatures expected to be in the 50's and up Michiganders will be out and on the track.  Gates open at 11am, with open track time from 12 noon- 6pm.  Gate admission is only $10 for adults, children ages 6-12 are only $5 and under six are free.  Tech cards are $25 for unlimited time runs from 12-6pm.

It's official today is the first day of Spring.  Even though it is still snowing in Southwest Michigan folks at US 131 Motorsports Park are counting down the days until racing starts.  Racing starts in only 17 days to be exact.

In keeping with the latest technology for its customers, US 131 Motorsports Park is launching its Official US 131 Motorsports Park Mobile App.  This free mobile app can be used with any smart device by Android and Apple users.

The Second Annual US 131 Dragway Racers' Reunion is going to be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at the US 131 Motorsports Park. Many exciting new details will be announced in the coming weeks and months. But for now, just save the date!

US 131 Motorsports Park will kick off its 2013 season in six weeks from this Saturday, February 23 with an open Test & Tune.   Racers may now sign up to enter the Lane Automotive Bracket Series points program, reserve their annual pit spot and/or sign up for the ATI, Advanced Technical Inspection appointments.

US 131 Motorsports Park celebrated its 50th Anniversary last year which included a Racer Reunion with Martin racers from the 60's-90's.  It was a historic moment with many memories shared, bench racing and show cars exhibited.  With the success of the Reunion the 2nd Annual Racer Reunion is being planned now.  Stay tuned for details on how you can see a part of Martin's living history.

NORWALK, Ohio~ Thanks to a collaborative effort between the International Hot Rod Association and Motor Mania TV, the IHRA is pleased to announce that the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals from Memphis International Raceway will be broadcast live on IHRA.com the weekend of October 12-14.

The 6^th Annual Fall Bug Run on Sunday was once again met with perfect blue skies, bright sunshine and beautiful leaves displaying autumn's brightest colors.   Many Volkswagen cars, buggies and buses came out to enjoy Michigan's only exclusive VW event hosting a car show, swap meet, new parts vendors and drag racing.

US 131 Motorsports Park will be hosting a $2000.00 to win race in Top ET & Modified this Saturday, September 29th with Street offering a winning payout of $350.00.  Gates will open at 9am with time trials beginning at 10am with Jr. Dragsters followed directly by Modified, Top ET and Street.  We will be following the same format as the Lane Automotive Bracket Series with two scheduled time runs and a run for the money.  There will be first round buy backs for all classes (except Jr Dragsters). Top ET and Modified entry fee is $60, Street is $35, Jr Dragsters is $25. Crew and spectators are $12 with children ages 6-12 only $5 for admission.

U.S. 131 Motorsports Park hosted the Division 5 Thunder Summit Team Finals presented by AMSOIL and Moser Engineering over the weekend, welcoming five teams to the Michigan facility. Host team U.S. 131 Motorsports Park won the overall team standings by a whopping 35 points over Grand Bend Motorplex, while Rick Baad (Top), Mark Gubinski (Mod) and Ryan Paquette (Junior) advanced to the Summit SuperSeries World Championships in Memphis in October.

This past Saturday night during the 8^th Annual Flagstar Bank Funny Car Nationals there  was a moment filled with much excitement and disappointment as there were 20 racers all hoping to win the brand new racing engine courtesy of Engine Pro, Dart Machinery, Performance Engineering and others but there could only be one winner.

We honor and remember the civilians, firefighters, policemen, military personnel and the like who experienced first-hand the tragedy of events that assaulted America 11 years ago.  We now know this as 9/11.  May the Lord bless and protect America!

Test & Tune with Fun 'n Grudge this Friday, August 24.  Anyone can race down "The Fastest Track in Michigan!" no matter what type of vehicle you may have.  Sports car, motorcycle or mini-van all are welome!  Only $25 to race and $12 to watch. 

Saturday $2,000 to win in Top ET and Modified.

Martin racers from the 1960's, 70's and 80's will converge at The Fastest Track in Michigan this Saturday for an unforgettable bench racing afternoon.  It's a Martin Racer Reunion and with the US 131 Motorsports Park celebrating its 50^th Anniversary there hasn't been a better time to bring them all back together again.

U.S. 131 Motorsports Park hosted a Division 3 Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour presented by AMSOIL double event over the weekend featuring a Nitro Jam and Tournament of Champions qualifier plus double Pro-Am points race for Division 3 racers. Below are the complete results from that event.

It all came down to one night.  After seven stops, nearly 10,000 miles logged and a ton of racing, the chase for Nitro Jam's professional championships all came down to Saturday's competition at the CarSafe Northern Nitro Jam at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.

Nitro Jam tour wraps up season on August 10-11 with championships on the line at CarSafe Northern Nitro Jam.  Get ready Michigan; championship nitro racing is back at Martin. 

For the second year in a row US 131 Motorsports Park will be the sight of the Nitro Jam season finale as championships are decided in all four touring nitro classes plus sportsman racers will be competing in a double Pro-Am plus a spot in the Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions presented by AMSOIL at one of the biggest sportsman national events of the year at the CarSafe Northern Nitro Jam August 10-11 at Michigan's fastest track.

Unfortunately, the track was dry and we were ready to race but the rains are here again.  Tonight's CarSafe Northern Nitro Jam has been cancelled.  Saturday's weather looks great and we are on the track at 9am, Fan Fest at 5:30pm with Nitro Jam at 7pm until 10pm. 

Today's (Friday) tickets may be used for entry into this event on Saturday, August 11.  If you have reserved seats for Friday you may bring them Saturday to the main office at US 131 Motorsports Park for reassignment.

Attention racers please keep in mind that the Nitro Jam/Pro Am and ET parking will begin at 9am this Friday morning.  Please do not arrive at the track until Friday morning.  There is limited space in the staging area that will not accommodate multiple rigs at the front gate.  We will be opening multiple gates Friday morning to accommodate all racers into the property in a timely manner.  Thank you, Jason Peterson General Manager.

This Friday, August 3rd is the ever popular Monster Midnight Madness.  This program was developed five years ago in an effort to take illegal street racing off the streets and onto the track in a legal, accurate and safe environment.  The program has proven to be very successful in doing that.

Test & Tune & Leinenkugel's Ladies Night is Wednesday, August 1. Gates will open at 5pm with track time from 6pm to 10pm. This is a great opportunity to have some fun and camaraderie with your friends. Bring out the ladies as they save $5 per tech card and there will be food and drink specials just for them. Cost to race your vehicle is just $25, ladies $20, spectator cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12, children 5 and under are free.

US 131 Motorsports Park's bracket racers known as the Lane Automotive presented by Mr. Gasket Bracket Series will again be able to run in front of the crowds during the IHRA Northern Nitro Jam on August 10-11, 2012. 

Scotty Richardson is returning with his Drag Racing School to US 131 Motorsports Park this Friday, July 20.  "We still have a limited number of spaces available for this year's class," stated Richardson.  "We were all set to have our first school here at 'The Fastest Track in Michigan' and Mother Nature chimed in causing the cancelation of the school in 2011."  The class consists of a sit down style classroom with instruction from Scotty in the morning followed by an on the track experience with your racecar practicing what has been "schooled" earlier in the day.  Please call Scotty at 817-804-2487 if you would like to be a part of this terrific program.

Bob Rahaim couldn't have picked a better place for his first American Drag Racing League (ADRL) win.  Racing at his home ADRL track, the Pro Nitrous standout delivered an incredible performance in front of a huge gathering of friends and family, going a career-best 3.797 at 197.10 miles per hour on Saturday to beat Pat Stoken in the finals of the Summer Drags VIII at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.

American Drag Racing League (ADRL) Pro Nitrous driver Doug Riesterer is trying for his third straight win in the class, and the talented Texan got off to a strong start on Friday at US 131 Motorsports Park.

The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) makes its return to US 131 Motorsports Park for the Summer Drags VIII on July 13-14. It is the sixth of 10 races on the 2012 ADRL Tour. 

With new classes, a World Championship format and expanded family fun midway, there is considerable excitement and anticipation surrounding the world's premier eighth-mile drag racing league as it returns to US 131. 

In keeping with the state-of-the-art recognition at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI the track's General Manager Jason Peterson recently purchased a new tire drag to enhance its track preparation.  Fast Chassis Inc. from Mt. Washington, KY designed this new, now favored piece of equipment.

ADRL Returns To US 131 Motorsports Park For The Summer Drags VIII.  The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) makes its return to US 131 Motorsports Park on July 13-14.  It is the sixth of 10 races on the 2012 ADRL Tour.

A Monster Midnight Madness was scheduled for this Friday, June 15.  Because of the nice Friday evening weather a Monster Midnight Madness has now been scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, June 16.  That means only $5 to get in after 8pm!

On the track this Friday and Saturday US 131 Motorsports will look as it did when it first opened.  Nearly 100 muscle cars will be competing for the ultimate bragging rights of who will be the last car standing.  Watch your favorite brand of muscle run 9, 10 or 11 seconds on Michigan's Fastest Track while maintaining a showroom stock appearance.  This is a memorable event and one that shouldn't be missed if you long for the good ole' days of pure muscle.

Last weekend's Summer Showdown with the P.R.M.A. was a terrific event with Pro Modified cars, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Pro Bikes and Pro Sleds coming from the US and Canada.  With the return of the Top Fuel Dragsters from May's Thunder Nationals being rained out, this made the Summer Showdown spectacular.

 Qualifying sessions for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products were held at US 131 Motorsports Park yesterday. 

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (June 6, 2012) - One of drag racing's greatest ambassadors does her talking on the track with her supercharged Top Dragster, but off the track Melanie Simmons spends her time talking to fans and the media about her sport.

The Summer Showdown featuring the sport's most exciting class and drag racing's most impressive exhibition vehicle is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, June 8-9, at US 131 Motorsports Park.  300+ miles per hour Top Fuel Dragsters, erratic Pro Mods and the spectacular 200+ miles per hour Jet Truck of Bob Motz are the featured highlights in the annual Showdown that is combined with the rescheduled Thunder Nationals.

PMRA, Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and PBSS to race at famous Michigan track June 8-9

The next event for the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products will be the Summer Showdown at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan.

It was just brought to our attention that the Midwest Top Dragster Series dissolved last night and is no longer a series and will not be running at US 131 MSP this weekend. However, the Midwest Top Sportsman Series will be here racing this Saturday and Sunday. No further details are available at this time.

The much anticipated 29^th Annual Thunder Nationals were rained out this past Saturday after a terrific Friday night qualifying of the Top Fuel Dragsters.  Dom Lagana of Scarsdale, NY qualified in the number one position running 4.679 at 315.96 MPH, second place was Bruce Litton of Indianapolis, IN running 4.758 at 294.42 MPH, third place was Scott Palmer of Branson, MO running 4.783 at 299.23 MPH and fourth place was Dale Creasy Jr. of Beecher, IL driving Chris "The Greek" Karamesines dragster at 9.135 and 89.07 MPH.

This weekend's 29^th Annual Thunder Nationals has a way to get up to three children 12 and under in FREE!  For Friday tickets go online to the official US 131 MSP website and purchase your tickets, each adult ticket includes up to three children's tickets FREE.  For Saturday tickets stop by any participating location while supplies last and pick up your coupon from Dr. Pepper to get up to three children's tickets FREE.  Just look for Dr. Pepper products at the locations listed below.

With spring weather returning once again and hopefully to stay in Southwest Michigan, US131 Motorsports Park has four days of events planned for the first week of May.  This Wednesday is the Test & Tune with Leinenkugel's Ladies Night, Friday Test & Tune, Saturday Lane Automotive Bracket Series race #1 and Sunday is the 5^th Annual Spring Bug Run.

As US 131 MSP heads into its 50^th year of operation, the management along with its newly elected Drivers Committee has met twice this year discussing the weekly Lane Automotive Bracket Series track rules.  It has been mutually agreed to alter a couple of aspects of race day operations. 

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Eaton Corporation will be the presenting sponsor for American
Snowmobiler magazine's new Outlaw Asphalt Drag Sled Series.  The series will begin on May 5, 2012, at the US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI., where the starting line is named Aeroquip Alley in recognition of Eaton's longtime support of the track.

This legendary event is known as the one that kicks off the racing season and what could be better than to include the fresh smell, sights and sounds of Top Fuel Dragsters burning the ever popular nitro-methane?  The 29^th Annual Thunder Nationals is returning on May 11-12, 2012.

US 131 MSP will be open for Test & Tune this Saturday, March 31^st.  Keeping with the early March format, tech cards for Test & Tune will be just $35 and can be purchased in the staging lanes on Saturday.  Crew and Spectators are FREE.  We will be on the track from 12 noon to 6 pm.  Limited concessions will be available. 

With the summer like atmosphere in Michigan, US 131 Management has decided to open its gates this Sunday the 18th for an unheard of March test and tune from 12noon - 6pm. Those wishing to participate for this special March test and tune can pre enter for the event by calling the track office at 269-672-7800 Wed-Fri and pay the advanced price of just $35, the price will be $45 the day of the event. Spectator and Crew are FREE!   We hope to see you at "The Fastest Track in Michigan"

In an effort to listen to our racers, US 131 MSP Management has elected to relocate the two races that were previously scheduled for Saturday September 1st.   A second race will be added to Saturday May 26th and the other to Saturday July 21st.   See our website schedule page for the complete 2012 racing schedule.

It is that time of year again.   In preparation for the 2012 Lane Automotive Bracket Racing season competitors are already signing up to secure this season's reserved pit spots, signing up for the year-long points program and scheduling a time slot for their Advanced Technical Inspections, ATI.   These will again be performed during each test and tune event in April.
